Anti-Hero IPA
(Revolution Brewing Company)

Not all that long ago, Revolution Brewing Company opened up a new production facility just a couple miles from their original brewery. That is where they're canning these little beauties. Anti-Hero IPA is a highly-rated, and thus highly anticipated, beer. We're excited to try this one and may we just say that the whole line-up of cans from Revolution Brewing Company look amazing - Ian Law and Oliver Barrett did an excellent job! Cheers!

From the Revolution Brewing Company site:

"An American hop assault for all the ambivalent warriors who get the girl in the end. “Look, I ain't in this for your revolution, and I'm not in it for you, Princess.” This iconic ale features a blend of four hop varieties which creates a crisp bitterness and imparts massive floral and citrus aromas."

Here we go...

Pour - golden in appearance with some orange hues and a beautiful looking inch of stark white foam on top.

Aroma - ahh...the aroma of hops. Anti-Hero is certainly not Anti-Hops! Cirtus, pine, mango, pineapple, and sweet oranges are all present in the aroma of this hop-laden brew.

Taste - first sip and a rush of grapefruit and pineapple coats the tongue and a sharp, bitter bite almost has us clenching our teeth in delight. Plenty of hoppiness is packed into each concurrent sip and we couldn't be happier. Tropical fruit flavors and pine intermingle nicely with a solid malt backbone. Crisp and flavorful with a finish that will have you thrusting your face back in the glass almost immediately.

Overall - an excellent IPA! You can't go wrong here if you're a lover of all things hops. Big hop aromas and flavors without being a palate destroyer. Sure, you're tongue will be numbed and dry but you'll have no problem opening another can - or two.

Note - we did a Q & A with Josh Deth, owner of Revolution Brewing Company, when the brewery was in the planning stages for the new production facility as well as canning. You can check it out HERE!
