Regardless of what time of day it is right now you know you want to crack open a nice cool can of Daisy Cutter Pale Ale. Admit it. Half Acre's switch to 16 oz. cans will do nothing but great things for the Chicago-based brewery. If you are lucky enough to live in the greater Chicago area and can get your hands on these you should definitely take advantage. Also, be on the look out for something else in cans from these guys in the fall. There are rumors of another canned brew from them. Possibly their Over Ale (a 6% brown ale)? Fingers are crossed.

Brief History - Half Acre was started in 2006 by Gabriel Magliaro. It opened originally as a Chicago-based beer business with its office located in Chicago's meat packing district. Half Acre's first beer, Half Acre Lager, debuted the week of August 13th 2006. They contract brewed this and all of their other beers in Wisconsin before moving into their own (Chicago) space in 2009. Now they brew, and package, all of their own beers on premise. Daisy Cutter Pale Ale and Gossamer Golden Ale both debuted in cans earlier this year (2010). They still do bombers (22 oz. bottles) but are no longer bottling 12 oz. beers. Go here for more...
